Helpful answers
Questions before the first pinch.
Are the classes suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Beginner classes introduce hand positions, clay moisture, simple tools, and manageable forms without assuming previous studio experience.
What clay should I prepare?
Each catalog listing names a suitable clay family and the basic materials. Choose a workable low-fire or mid-fire clay that matches your local firing access.
Do I need a pottery wheel?
No. The catalog focuses on hand building and sculptural methods, so most lessons can be completed with a table, clay, water, and simple hand tools.
How long does one class take?
Durations range from roughly 75 minutes to four hours. The time shown in each listing includes demonstrations and focused making periods.
Can I save a class for later?
Select Save to Fallows on a catalog card. Your saved IDs remain in this browser until you remove them or clear local storage.
How does the cart work?
Add a class from the catalog, then open Cart to adjust quantities and review the total. Checkout is a confirmation demonstration because no payment service is connected.
Are finished pieces guaranteed to survive firing?
No. Clay and kiln results depend on material, drying, construction, and firing conditions. Lessons explain good practice but cannot promise a particular result.
Can I request a private group session?
Yes. Send the studio a note with your group size, preferred dates, and experience level so we can discuss a suitable format.
